It's an interesting contrast. Former Gov Rowland goes back to prison getting caught a second time while former Mayor Joe Ganim claims rehabilitation and enlightenment as he sniffs around at the possibility running again for Mayor of the Park City...

What is it about Connecticut politicians-- or better yet voters-- who would support this kind of thing...

Republican, Democrat... Doesn't matter.

Rowland may have been a corrupt sonnuvadog, but Connecticut WAS in better shape when he was governor...

It wasn't funny, it was mostly stupid. Plus the voting public was always greatly misinformed and generally ignorant.

Oh, plus it's spelled "Idiocracy" >_>

We were in better shape because Rowland, like Rell, kicked many of the issues down the road for future generations to deal with. We are now that future generation. Plus when Rowland was Governor there was not the massive financial crisis we had in this country like we had several years ago. That made a big difference. Jay

I thought I read an article that Ganim was moving back to Bridgeport from his current home in Easton but could not find the article. He has said he is looking to run again for Mayor of Bridgeport though so don't be surprised if he does and if he wins. Jay

I heard Ganim on a radio talk show one morning and I was lol. He reminded me of those preachers on television like Jim Baker or Jimmy Swaggart crying after they were caught with their hands in the sexual candy jar. That Ganim sounded like a real weasel.
