We viewed a new episode of House Hunters Renovation starting in West Hartford last night. This is the third episode starring West Hartford that I've seen! It was fun to see WH Center, AC Petersens on Park Road and my old neighborhood where the couple was renting.
They did buy in Mansfield and the next 45 minutes was rehabbing the new place.
It was worth a view, if you enjoy that sort of show!

The husband teaches at Uconn; so Mansfield was a much shorter commute.

OK - I can certainly understand that. However, they should have been looking at Tolland, Coventry and Mansfield, not West Hartford.

Speaking of TV shows, there is a TV showed "My City just isn't into me" on FYI. There was a young couple (age 28 and 29) from Norwalk that did not want to live in CT anymore. Their reason was it was getting too expensive and they felt like if they stayed they were just going to keep spinning their wheels and not get ahead (can't blame them). So, the show brought them to Atlanta and Tampa. They loved Atlanta but the twist is that the host will find a place near their current location that fits there goal. The real estate agent brought them to Bridgeport.

..needless to say they left CT and went to Atlanta.

I caught the end of it. Hopefully it is repeated or on On Demand so I can see the whole episode.

They have had a couple recently in Fairfield too. I knew the house selected in the last one I saw (with a gay couple). I also knew one of the two other houses in that episode as well. Kind of interesting. Jay

i haven't seen any of the WH episodes, but I saw one in Darien. Come to think of it though, it might have been a different show, I just remember Darien and the small homes available for their budget.

LOL! I think many of these shows are staged, clearly the producers wanted them out of CT for some reason.

Haven't seen any W Hartford ones but did see that Darien one, they paid like high $500s for a 900 sq ft bungalow that needed all updating.
Saw a couple of Fairfield ones and the guy who did our countertops was in one of them.
Saw one in the Danbury area, these couple of guys looking on Candlewood lake homes.
Over the w/e just saw some show called Open House that I never heard of before. They showed some multi-million dollar homes in Hollywood, NYC, and Rowayton. The Rowayton was too funny, they kept referencing Rowayton and not the dreaded Norwalk word.
