New Haven has one of the tightest rental markets in the country. There just are not enough apartments for people wanting them If you see one you really like you will have to jump on it immediately. Good luck, Jay

Not sure when you are moving, but there are also 2 newly-opened apartment buildings in central New Haven, and 2 more new under construction. Check the Union Building website (Elm and Church St) and the Winchester Lofts website (Science Park away from downtown). The 2 under construction downtown are the College and Crown Street/ Centerplan building and also the Chapel and Howe St apartments. Good luck.

Hello,

I finally found a place to live and about to sign the lease. The lease is attached. Would you be able to have a look at this and let me know if it's ok? I've attached the file and would appreciate your comments. I checked and it seem to be more or less standard, but it's always good to double check.

Thanks.
