Not sure if it was reported here, but the Rhode Island truck only tolls has been struck down by a court. Just as I had predicted. https://www.providencejournal.com/st...rs/8072195001/

So CT wont be trying this.

I just got off a train from GCT to NH that took exactly 100 minutes. It was great. Only stopped at Stamford, Bridgeport, and New Haven. We blew by all the traffic on the interstate. If we could go from NH to GCT in under an hour I feel like that would be a game changer. People could live well into CT and still commute into the city with ease

I'm writing this from the CT Rail train. On the way down I got a coffee in the dining car. I read about a hundred pages out of my book. It's all so much more efficient and civilized than driving!

New Haven to Grand Central used to be under 100 minutes with more stops than that.

The trains aren’t actuality faster. Those are just making less stops.

At speeds 10 years ago, your train would be 90 minutes or less.

Let’s hope they can get back to that.

Quicker service from New Haven would be amazing. I've only recently been a CTRail->New Haven kind of guy. Before that I was always a Stamford guy but I got tired of dealing with traffic down there. The garage is kind of unpleasant too (and cash only in 2022!). I just prefer to park at Berlin for $2 and you can pay by phone. The transfer at New Haven is super quick, only 2-5 minutes typically, except the one time my train was late and I had to sprint for it

And the best drivers in the US are.......

#1 Connecticut

Connecticut drivers aren’t just the best in the nation, they're the best by a wide margin. Connecticut drivers ranked 50th (higher is better) in citations, 50th in DUIs, 49th in speeding tickets and 45th in accidents. Congratulations Connecticut, these aren’t just good numbers, they’re the best we’ve ever seen.

I think I missed this. The state received a $1 million grant to study traffic and bridge safety on I-95 in Stamford. It’s certainly well needed. Jay
