I know Cam will like this one. Was going through my pictures and found this one. Feb 8-9 2013 Noreaster/blizzard. This was what I saw when I woke up and looked out my window and was blown away. Probably a once in a lifetime event. Still can't get over the totals from that storm..

Yeah, that was insane. Started 7:15am and ended about 12hrs later. 2 storms merged off the Delaware coast and came up the coast.. Before that storm my season total was 12.5". Then Bang 17" with that storm. Then pretty much nothing the rest of February. Had to wait till March 7th to get 2" again, then March 8th another 7.5". Then March 18th another 4"

Your post made me scroll through some pics but from last year, before it all started.

50° here again with full Sun outside in short sleeves.

Not sure which is more depressing, that ... or this..

Another winter storm to Iowa next week and guess what that means for us with a storm track like that? Southerly flow warm up continues.

I must be getting old. I am quite happy with this weather. Miss tracking the storms but you can keep the bitter cold. As long as it's not hot

Colder air will start moving south after day 10 because the parade of lows slamming into the West are weakening in intensity. Instead of 956mb lows the models showed a few days ago they are now at 970-974mb. This means less intense flooding of southern Canada with mild Pacific air and will have implications for the US by the end of the month into January from what I'm seeing at the moment.

Love the graphics NWS Upton and Boston put together on social media.

When the pattern is this boring its always neat to look back at past events.

With temperatures in the 50s and no winter weather in sight, here's a look back to 2003 when the area was in the midst of a significant winter storm. Between December 5-7, 2003, a series of low pressure systems brought snowfall totals of 1-2 feet and blizzard or near-blizzard conditions to the Tri-state area.
