Last February Bridgeport averaged 13 degrees below normal. How close to that above will we be this month?

We should top 10 above which would just shatter the record for most above in any given month as February did for below.. What are odds of both double digit above or below in the same year ?

Great question. Need to dig for that. Need time.

Total flip flop of the Jet. Just imagine...this is what the West has been dealing with for years. I remember seeing it. I hope its not stuck over us now!

La Nina next yr so maybe not

Funny thing is its doubtful we EVER have seen a 10 over or a 10 under. Look at it this way November just had their warmest month ever and it was only 4 degrees over..and that warmest on record for the month....!

Eh in 2 months we could be in the grips of a snowy , cold pattern.

It quoted the wrong post, but the time we had snow in October I can recall was 2011. Did we have a rough winter. 2012. I can remember 2011, 2013, and 2014 being rough winter's.

The freak early snowstorm was October 29/30, 2011. (Hurricane Sandy was exactly one year later.) Winter 2011-12 was excessively mild, with the Mississippi River needing to be dredged in spots the following spring because it was so low.

Looks like even though the airmass will be ideal for such an event again to take place on Sat, that we won't get anything from it because the upper level winds are going to be more from the WNW (290 deg) where as on 10/18 they were more from the NW to NNW (about 320-330) which allowed us to be perfectly downwind of Lake Ontario.
