Good read. Trying to compare this year to last is silly though. No cold air is in sight!

In fact long term right now for Bridgeport shows TWENTY days in January with a high over 40. Only 10 days with a low below 30.

Subject to change but last year at this time? Long term showed the icy cold weather getting in in late January.

If numbers pan out Danbury is forecast to be 17-18 degrees above normal this week. Ridiculous.

We are probably gonna SHATTER the most above normal for a month record. Has anyone found the month most above normal? I know it takes digging.

Using NYC (since OKX has lots of "top 10s" for them but not for the other stations like BDR or LGA), I would bet on possibly:

January 1932 (43.2 average, historically Jan average is around 32, it may be the only month there that was ever 10+ above normal)

March 1945 (51.1 average, I thought this might be 10+ above normal but historic March average is about 42)

The amazing thing is this December would likely rank in the top 10 NOVEMBERS!

BDR currently with a 46.9° December Avg would be 2nd warmest for March.

No wonder why I'm seeing this..

On Saturday I saw a few flurries in Stamford. That was in the evening when the sun was setting. I personally think it was a random cloud nearby.

First snow I see this late Autumn/Winter season.

Didn't think about March, wow! (For those curious, in NYC their average of 50.4 so far would be #3 for March)

Yup. So this isn't just very warm for December standards... this is near record warm for even March standards for us.

I'm literally debating if I should wear shorts for Christmas Eve. Normal Max temps are upper 30s.
