If Atlanta gets more snow than us I'm gonna scream
I believe in the winter of 1979-80 Norfolk, VA got over 40 inches of snow (a record that I think still stands) while NYC got less than 10 inches all winter, so that might be the ultimate case of that sort of thing.

When's the storm moving out by tomorrow? Hoping it's done by 8 tomorrow night.

Interesting...TWC shows the snowstorm.

Could this be it? The one?

It's going to be mid month and Bridgeport might still have than 1 inch season total. I say might because Wednesday morning might drop 1".

Only 5 other years had less than 1 inch going into mid January. Now THAT is rare. 5 of 68 yrs.

Only 2 other years for Hartford Area of less than 2.5 inches. RARE to have this little snow going into mid January!

Only 1928 and 2007 had less than 2.5" for the season to January 16th. Not including this year yet since we have 7 days left still and Wednesday the 13th might drop an inch or so there.

Updated from WPC...

Thank that storm going from south to Great Lakes for our rains tomorrow. Imagine if that was off the coast instead?!

And notice the Clipper is on the map now. That's the Wednesday light snow for us.

NWS seems to have dropped the 1" or so of snow for Wednesday now? (at least the OKX zones, haven't check the BOX ones, in fact they are now saying "partly sunny"?)

I think will be hit or miss. Precip will be so light that some areas will only get Virga. I think 1" is really maxing out any spot in southern NY and CT.

Unless the hills can do their magic then Orographic lift might help Litchfield and SWCT areas like Redding get to 1-2"?

Are we talking about models having it or "marketing/journalist web sites"? The models have it.
