Snowing on Mt Greylock in MA, An area of the Virginias mountains, Poconos, Greens and other low lying areas. Scattered. White Plains, NY reporting flurries.

Don't be "Surprised" to see a new dusting or inch of snow fall.

This is in response to a Clipper which transferred energy to a coastal storm well off shore. Instability also in play.

How close? well, this was about 200 miles from being another half foot snowstorm for us. Models never had it closer so I didn't bother mentioning it.

I'm in Danbury and it just started snowing.

Edit- It's coming down pretty hard now. Not really flakes. More like mini snowballs.

Sounds like Graupel. I got flurries (actual flakes) but now the sun is out and it stopped. Very scattered and light but some spots especially near hills it could get heavier

I looked towards Danbury a half hour ago and the sky was really dark. No snow in Monroe, though.

Powerhouse Blizzard. Heavy snows Philly to Boston. Snows down in NC as well.

Watch this time frame Feb 8-11. Something brewing! Euro wont get in range for another couple days but the Ensembles which go out further also showing something

Let's just hope this storm comes in Thursday 11th in the morning and out by the evening of the 12th. Off of work than :-D

AccuWeather extended forecast also saying a mix of rain/sleet on Valentine's Day. Be a messy week coming soon.

It's snowing out. Started out as flurries and intensity amped up for good 5 minutes or so. Now back to a steady stream. Caught out running in it visibility is limited out there wind is blowing this stuff around. Kind of cool like mini snow tornados. Starting to stick to the ground now. Could see an inch from this.
