I'm the opposite..i love snowstorms.. But I hate wind and extreme cold as much as humidity and extreme warmth. Give me 2months of winter...temps in the 20's lows in the teens and a healthy dose of snow and I'd be happy... But warm it up in March...gosh I hate March here.
Cool.....Yes, I am certainly not the type argue with anyone on public forums.....but I will try to state my case in case I don't explain it well. Here, let me give you a breakdown and it may make more sense:

Spring- Sunshine, green grass and trees - 55-65 degrees = awesome for me
Summer - Sunshine, Thunderstorms - 65-80 no humidity.....perfect.....
Fall- Seaonable is fine with me........I absolutely LOVE fall here.
Winter- Seasonable temps is fine.....light snowstorms I can deal with......
Blizzards, Huge storms measured in feet, disruptions in travel, ugly gray and bare trees, dirty snow piles and below zero temps........that part I don't like.

I think that is a fair assumption and overall, I think I am not being too much of a hater.

It's funny how people here get personally offended when you say you don't like cold and snow...

It probably looks like nothing on radar...but for what it's worth, we've had a fairly steady snow in West Hartford for the past 4 hours. Nice wintry scenes everywhere.

Offended? No...just cant understand why someone would live in a place that does not suit their fancy. makes no sense.

I moved to N.C. bitched and moaned about the heat..so guess what I did? Right...moved back.

I think it depends on the circumstances.......for me, my wife and I moved to CT to be closer to my mom(lives near us)......sister and her husband live in Shelton. When my wifes mom retired she moved to Montana because her son and his wife moved there years ago and she wanted an outdoor country type of life. We had no family left in NY and we were house hunting at that time and because NY is so expensive we moved to CT closer to them. Job pays very well. My 23 year old daughter lives in upstate NY. So that is why we are still living here..... That's my story anyway......we each have our reasons.

What I don't get is; this winter is the warmest on record and people are complaining??
How warm do you want it?? This isn't the south!

And even not using December which was historically warm

Jan 1 to Feb 9 is 11th warmest on record for Bridgeport, 15th warmest for BDL!

Feb so far is 7th warmest for BDR, 5th warmest for BDL!

So this winter has been WARM compared to normal.

I didn't know which station to use so I used Meriden. You can find the others here.

Here are the Max & Min temps for January & February. I mean WTF. Complaining about an area where max temps get into the 40s where snow is able to melt? 50s and 60s in February?

Last winter I will give it, that's a winter to complain about if you don't like winter.

I think our average temp this winter so far is similar to what the Mid Atlantic Normal is.. like Washington DC.
