Strangely, it didn't seem that cold yesterday and it doesn't today either. But I'm used to the real cold weather of inland--MA/CT line around Enfield and to the north of it at a higher elevation.

Right now it's doing nothing at all, sun is out and it's a bit chilly, lol. Dog has to be pushed out the door.
Yeah, I went outside in short sleeves before (was 15°) and didn't feel cold. Didn't stay out there long but I'm definitely adjusting. Just means I will complain about 30s now. LOL

Kinda sad that extreme for this area means daytime in the teens. That's not cold but only feels cold when we're not used to it.

Whats also sad is seeing how it will change over even for northern New England. We'll see.

Getting very light Graupel falling past hour. Should be snow any minute now

Dammit! I thought it was going to be 20 today. Got through work and it's barely 17 and snowing. Still contemplating that ride. Maybe I should turn up the water heater before I head out. UGH

850mb freezing line sneaking up to NJ. 4hrs ago was near Richmond so it's made a big push north. Ugh.

Not long before Southern NJ changes over to sleet/ice/rain now.

Still got hours of snow to fall. All that precip in NJ is coming. YOU DONT WANT THE MID LEVEL TEMPS TO WARM TO FAST! Just means more ice since the surface wont warm as fast

Case in point.. CT still in the teens. We don't want that mid level to rise above freezing too fast. Even all those 20s in NJ. Watch out. Ice accumulations.

For Papafox

Northern CT Sounding 7pm - 7am every 3 hours.. Watch the surface stay below freezing longer than NYC below.

NYC area Sounding. Watch the surface warm up pretty fast

Quick comparison for 1am tonight. Northern CT still below freezing at surface. There may be like several hours of ice.

Broom type snow out there. Reminds me of last year!

Current Surface temps and radar. Can't believe southern MA still in the teens! I'm up to 24 now.

1.1" of broom type snow with less than 0.07" liquid.. That's like 25:1 ratios!. Mountain type fluff stuff.
