Northern CT went from 30s to 50s in 1 hour. That's not an error. I was seeing reports of some crazy increases

Yup, heard a few big thunders about a hour ago. Kind of surprising because you actual forget about thunderstorms this part of the year. The lights flicked once too and it is pretty windy outside. Very strange weather for February!

What a wild night! The house was shaking at times from the wind. Haven't felt wind that strong since Sandy. Was pretty sure we were going to lose power, but I guess we got lucky.

Edit: just popped on the news and Westport, Ridgefield and New Canaan schools are closed, and Greenwich and Newtown have delays. Wow!

Looking outside to a different backdrop. My neighbors 80 foot pine is not in sight anymore.

I woke up in Portland, ME at 4 AM. That was at the Clarion Hotel on Congress Street. A thunderstorm was in progress. Although half asleep, I'm certain there was a BIG rumble of thunder around 3:55. The wind noise on the window was bothering me about 2 hours earlier. Thankfully, the storm wasn't severe here. I'm now on the Maine Turnpike (I-95) southbound in Kennebunk. Just went through a hefty shower with a lot of fog over what little snow is left up here. Local sunrise is right now at 6:25 or so (service plaza gas is $1.889 in Kennebunk, near Exit 25 for ME Route 35).

Now to check on the power outages at home in Connecticut.
