Remember, these are daily records which aren't as impressive as a monthly record. Just means the temp never got there on that specific day.

Another way of looking at it, if theres only 65yrs on record it means there was only 65 days it could of broke it on that exact day

Yeah, not even close since March is a "transition month" where the end averages much warmer than the beginning so monthly March record highs for most location are in the mid-upper 80s......Providence even had a 90 degree day back in March of 1945.

Yup. Or it could be like March 13, 1990 where Bridgeport hit 84°. Impressive being it was mid March and that was a record typically seen mid April. So it can happen, don't say never (I know you didn't, just saying)

NYC hit 85° that day in March and its the 2nd warmest temp since 1800s for the month of March (86° is the first and tied with 2 years. 1998 & 1945)

So even though averages are warmer at the end of the month, Mid month can provide record monthly highs. Beginning of month like you said is tough!

That must of been crazy that day. I don't remember it. BDR OBS

It was already 55 F/13 C here in New Britain at 10:50 AM, with little wind, too! It will feel nice to leave the big winter jacket at home!

there's going to be a back door front coming. Timing and how strong still in question so the battle ground could be near CT.

it's going to get chilly again north of that front

News Channel 8 forecast for interior CT you can see the front cools things down Thursday night but stays still above normal into next week. Just not as warm as it will be south of that front obviously. Multiple days in the mid 60s and 70s in the Mid Atlantic.
