You guys are going to HATE whats coming. Well...most of you anyway. No maps, I'll just let you be surprised. lol . Sunday and Tuesday seem to be the core of it. Winds will get crazy so think real feel temps

And Speaking of storms.. and snow..

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
726 AM EDT FRI APR 1 2016

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL CROSS THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT
WITH ADDITIONAL SHOWERS...TRANSITIONING OVER FROM LIQUID TO SOLID
FORM. HIGHEST ACCUMULATIONS WOULD BE WELL INLAND WHERE AMOUNTS COULD
REACH 2 INCHES...BUT THIS WILL DEPEND ON HOW QUICKLY THE COLDER AIR
WORKS IN BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION ENDS

WINDS DIMINISH SUN AFTERNOON AND EVENING AS THE PRESSURE GRADIENT
WEAKENS...BUT THE CHILLY WEATHER WILL CONTINUE. A CLIPPER SYSTEM
MOVES ACROSS MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. INITIALLY LOOKS WARM ENOUGH FOR
RAIN...BUT SIGNS ARE INDICATING A TRANSITION OVER TO SNOW WITH MINOR
ACCUM BEFORE ENDING. STRONG GUSTY WINDS POSSIBLE TUESDAY

posting this here too because I'm just too excited...

WOW. WOW. WOW. Do you guys have any idea how interesting this is? From a weather geek standpoint? I think anyone who is getting into weather or is a weathernut already will appreciate whats happening next 5 days.

First ..... you have to watch Bernie's video to understand my GooGoo for GaGa for this event. It's not him... it's how this is happening!

Second ... The trough is going negative. Do you know what that means? Experience has taught me, storms are impressive when they form with a negative trough.. But where it's going negative is too far for my liking. I prefer it to go negative south of NYC so a storm can form south of us more to get more snow.

Third ... The temp gradient as he showed in the video across PA is going to be impressive during the day Sunday. Maybe Upper 60s near Philly, 30s in north. That warm air is going to fuel moisture into the Arctic Air.

Forth ... What do you get with high winds and even 1 inch of snow ... B.L.I.Z.Z.A.R.D "conditions"!

Fifth ... Winds going to be crazy again! Up to 40-60mph in the region

Sixth .. Watch his video

Seventh .. What do you get with high winds and arctic air? ... February like wind chills

Eighth ... Can you tell I'm excited?

Ninth ... The radar might look like October 18th did with the instability snow squalls around maybe.

Tenth ... Forget looking out your window during these events for a second ... Understand whats involved to get all this to happen.

Eleventh ... As a weather nut I find the upcoming weather very interesting in how it's all setting up to happen.

Gorgeous day out upper 60's. Hoping this weather sticks and that cold front is blown away.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but today was supposed to be a "super soaker." Its sunny with blue skies. Did I miss a change in the forecast?

Very uncomfortable outside....... Feels Tropical in nature..... I should have known... Dewpoints near 60 with temps in 70s.

Gotta love the Northeast U.S though.

4pm Temps on left, Dewpoints on right.

80s up to Baltimore.
70s up to Maine. Notice the 70s in New England was where it was sunny.

Severe Thunderstorm heading to Portland.

78° in NYC. 62° at JFK. How many miles apart are they? 58° at Islip

Dewpoints in the 50s and 60s
