Actually Bridgeport ended up exactly at normal.

BDL first time below normal since....

October was -0.1. Does that count?
June 2015 was -1.0

So it's been a while for many of us in the Northeast to have a below normal month! Philly now 13 months in a row above normal!

When was the last time anyone around here had 13 months in a row BELOW normal? Wasn't there a streak of 12 months in a row above normal a couple of years ago as well? Food for thought.....

Don't have time to look but here's a quick snap shot for some years. Blue boxes = the months BDR was below normal.

Quick look 12 of 17 months were below normal October 2008 to January 2010

8 months in a row below normal in 1997

9 months in a row below normal in 1992

11 of 16 months below normal from September 1988 to December 1989

Are we done with potential frosts? I know it was said last week some people dropped below freezing overnight but nothing glazed over in my yard.

No worries, good enough for me, thanks. I vaguely recall that 2000 had a string of below normal months too......

When I have some time I want to really look into it. Check out November 1995 to November 1997. Only 4 months were above normal in that 2 year span.

I made this a couple years ago. I'd like to revisit, double check and do a new graph. But should give you an idea how many times we've had many consecutive below normal months.

Do you guys remember the Omega Block 2 weeks ago? The one that gave us endless days of sun and warm and dry weather?

Its back, but this time the Ridge is not in Western & Eastern US. We are in the trough part of it which is keeping us cool, cloudy, and rainy

11am. Moderate rains in NY and MA. We're escaping it...for now. Although some areas of CT received a good dose earlier this morning. But still in the 40s outside. Chilly!

30°F on the rock (Mt Washington)

And Washington DC ends their 60 less streak at 126 hrs (5 days 6 hrs).
Should I start the new streak count for 61° or 65°? lol

Really not a fan of the new graphics they are using. I miss the old forecast graphics.

Anyway ... what do 60s feel like? I forgot. lol below normal next 7 days at least. But nights will be slightly above normal. So the Avg will be only slightly below normal.

Ironically, even though the temperatures on the ground are well below normal today, they are warmer than normal at the 700mb level (10,000 feet).
