I'm actually liking all these little events. They do add up but I do miss those big 2"+ storms. I'm sure we wont be waiting long for those. Maybe Fall?

Steady drizzle? Light rain? When I was at Cromwell Walmart in the 5 PM hour (5:30-ish), it was absolutely POURING at that point!

I guess that's what happened at the Route 7 exit to the Merrit Parkway south bound at about 7pm.

I was entering the Merrit and surprise, a Honda car appear to had lost control and hit a light post that fell on top of a pickup. The Honda was right off the right shoulder of the ramp and the pickup to the left of the left shoulder, perhaps the guy tried to avoid the light post as it saw it fall and it still hit his vehicle.

There was no police cars at the scene when I passed through there. I had to enter the Merrit through the grass. Unreal.

As I was passing through New Canaan I saw a police car on the north bound side speeding with his lights on, perhaps he was heading to the same scene.

Photos of the scene:

I followed that SUV through the grass to merge into the Merrit and a line of cars behind me did the same thing.
