Actually.. Here is a rainfall total estimate per radar to give an idea where the rains were.

It was expected (by me at least) that the areas of 1/2" or more were going to be the "lucky" areas and it's IMPOSSIBLE to know where those areas will be. (greens & yellows)

Here is the Max temps yesterday. BDL hit 92.

Not sure if this is a good thing to say (being we need the rain) but enjoy the sunny clear dry days next 3 days.. Period of clouds, storms, and wetness after that and could continue into the new work week

As promised. Rain totals (not including the airports)

Norwich got lucky. East Hartford with 0. Wethersfield with 1/4"

Milford almost 1/4" as well. Nice! The radar map above shows it too.

Last time I got 1" or more in 1 day (7am-7am) was July 5th.

Before that was June 30th.

I do miss those heavy precip days.

before that was February 25th! (70-90mph winds, blizzard for Midwest, warm rains for us)

before that was February 4th (stalled front then changed to snow (7" of snow next day)

I've had a very different experience Cam- also within 0.5" of YTD average rainfall. What a drought

On further analysis, I've had two different 24 hour periods of 2" of rain since July 5.

North Glastonbury/South East Hartford sunny and dry.

I snapped a pic of the sky on Rt 2 near the Rt 17 exit and it was raining at the end of the exit on New London. I let a dog out off New London and she has an outside dish that was over half full from the rain. Same thing near Ash Swamp.

25 inches of rain this year so far. Still 5 months to go. Wet period coming up but with the trend we're in I wouldn't be surprised we get under 2" total for 5 days. lol

Did you guys see how much Florida is getting north of Tampa?

Yes, as I can attest after a 20 mile bike ride on the Farmington Valley trail this afternoon--today was blazing hot!
