No rain overnight. All started after 6am. Quick bursts can do that since there's no time to absorb or drain.

I just checked the gauge again .. 0.83" within 70 minutes. Only drizzle now. Every neighborhood will have different results. Some may have gotten just over an inch.

I'm in full boycott mode of this pattern. 80's, humid, muggy, ugh. Even at night when it goes to the 60's I still have to leave my AC on to keep the humidity out. Can this be the last week, we are officially coming up on fall in just a few days, I'd like to start breaking out my hoodies and jeans for comfort.

Not a drop yesterday, and just had 10 minutes of steady rain and it's stopped and the sky is cleared. I'm going to have to water my plants if this keeps up.

Another low in the 70s. Demolishing old record in Bridgeport day after day after day

The low yesterday in Bridgeport was 72. It did break the record of 70 in 1972.

Today's date is the earliest in the year post June to never have a low of 70 or above at BDR, the record is 68 in 2003 so if the low stays 70 or above today that is broken. It was probably "due" though as the only other date in Sept. to not ever have a low of 70 or above at BDR is Sept. 30, record is 69 in 2010. Low so far is 72 today.

Interestingly, the only dates in October that a low of 70 or above occurred at BDR is October 7 and 8, 2005 at 72 and 70 respectively (the latter being the latest in the year a low of 70 has occurred).

Currently the sun is out in Hartford and we've had barely a drizzle. We better get some precipitation out of this system!

You will. Should have cloudied over by now. There were some breaks in the clouds which allowed the sun to poke through. You can actually see it in the map above.

Camera doesn't capture the Gloom with white skies. lol

Just took this from Greenwich

Chilly Sunday & Monday coming?

GFS min temps Sunday morning. Frost and maybe scattered freezes should happen if this verifies in New England and higher elevations. I'll take my 40s!

Then, GFS Minimum temps Monday morning. Frost expands but CT still safe.

Max temps in the 60s. AWESOME Low 40s, High 60s. Autumn! Then this moves out and we warm up again

Did it. Officially over an inch.. still raining...

Radar, Satellite, Metar loop past 4 hrs. (8am-12pm)

Back edge of rain is close now but looks like more coming later. All that in MD and DE looks to be coming up but not 100%. Haven't checked the future cast.

Flash Flood Warning over Long Island.
