What a pattern.

Some might be just noise or not making it to the ground but it sure is telling of the flow.

7pm temps. Mid 40s already across the state

This cold is setting up the possible snow from the Clipper Thursday

I know there is some potential for snow north and west of New Haven on Thursday morning, but this is per the NWS NYC office:

"Snow accumulations across parts of the interior including portions
of Northeast NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley and SW Connecticut could
reach 1 to possibly 2 inches of snow".

Seems a but much?

No frost this morning on the car. Was about 38 degrees around 0600. Temp is up to 43 right now, but cold outside of the sun. It's colder than some days then last winter. Hopefully not a sign of the winter weather to be expected.

Oct 27 Clipper Storm Update:

You have to admit, this is a beautiful setup.. .even more so if it was actually Winter.

Clockwise spinning High pressure in Quebec spilling down Cold air into the Northeast while a clipper comes from the Mid West.

Unfortunately its only October and the cold isn't strong enough to hold. That HP is moving East as time goes on so CAD is the only thing hanging on when Clipper moves in.

Still, timing is right where many of us can see snow falling and even accumulating in some areas.

No big deal! Roads will be fine. Except maybe the Litchfield hills where could get icy. And if the cold doesnt scour out, freezing rain could be issue in some spots.

This frame is for tomorrow morning 8am
