Current 850mb temps this morning. (temps at 4500')

"The Bleed Down"

Cold air just bleeding right down... Can you spot the Polar front with this? Basically look for the freezing line (mostly for Midwest/Northeast area)

I found once it drops below freezing at 4000' you will really notice the difference at the surface and should be windy as well.

Tonights wind chills. Does that say teens for northern CT???

You guys feel it? This wind is because the Polar Front is moving closer.

Temps at 5000' and wind gusts Last 4 hours.

Freezing line at 5000' about to enter CT now. Wont warm up much even with full sun because it's getting colder above.

Yeah, I'm waiting for all the leaves to fall before starting cleanup process.

We got till Wednesday before any rain or storm comes. So maybe Sunday or Tuesday I'll start.

I haven't used any oil for heat yet but I didn't start the stove yet today. When I get back from work I will. I think inside temp dropped to 60 before I left.

Is it just me, or are the leaves falling very late this season?

Even up in the Hartford area, there are just a few trees that are completely bare.

65? NWS seems to suggest upper 50s to near 60, still nice though!

Gray lines are the spread. If you believe mid 60s then you should believe mid 40s as well since thats the extreme end of the models

Either way, summer is long gone and no torch pattern in sight. Enjoy the cool nights and seasonable/warm days

Yes, I don't think it is you because I have noticed it too. Most of the trees in my area (Suffolk County) still have their leaves and we are almost half way through November. I assume it is similar to Hartford/Connecticut Valley which is warmer then other parts of northern Connecticut.

However, I expect most of them will fall in the next two weeks. The only leaves that last until Thanksgiving (other than Pine trees) are usually various kinds of oak trees such as Pin Oaks.
