You might get your first wish, but the second one is impossible.

Just looked outside and we barely have anything and some light snow coming down. Was this moving slower then thought? I'm in am area that was supposed to get the most.

5:15am. 1" of snow.

A look at the 850mb temps. Freezing line now past Philly so they changed over to Ice past hour or so. Still got few more hours for us. Some points it might come down heavier. But all in all its a steady light snow so far

Hmm, I do remember seeing projections but I think they were done because of an extreme event by certain outlets. There isn't a model or usual projection per event. I'm sure someone is developing an algorithm for it.

Speaking of outages.. Seeing them pop up in PA now due to the ice storm they are getting. I don't think we have to worry but it's concerning how cold the surface is down to DC still. If the layer at 5000' warms up over us, we might have ice issues.

Freezing Rain in D.C because surface still in 20s and up 1000'+.

Snow changing to ice now almost central NJ. Still got few hours of snow here.

The Darker the metar the heavier the precip. I don't see "heavy" snow anywhere but doesn't mean its not in some neighborhoods outside the airports.

Actually Binghamton is reporting heavy snow. Bridgeport & Hartford moderate snow.
