Some observed totals as of 7 p.m. from NWS Boston.

Hard to measure here due to the winds and drifting but guessing around 8.

Wow! Nice pics thanks!

5" of snow on ground with a temp of 18°F . Feels like 8°F with the wind.

Decided to just clean up tomorrow. Snow ratios are 17:1 so its light and fluffy and staying below freezing till Tuesday

What I'm doing right now.

That's it.. Notice CT is under the very light blues. Just flurries around now. Maybe light snow in few select spots. Bridgeport not reporting anything.

Groton still getting moderate snow, almost done with the steady stuff there. Probably couple hours of flurries.

This was basically a 12hr storm.

How are the roads in your area? Heard from friends/family in local towns that they haven't seen a single plow out on the secondary roads. My road hasn't been touched by a plow yet and in past years they would have at least made a pass through. Friend who said he knows someone that works for a town said they are cutting back expenses big time on the overtime and not sending out the plows much on the weekends.

Drove around West Hartford & Newington at the "height" of the storm (1/4 mile visibility) and it wasn't too bad. The town just came by and cleared our street, soon after which our snowplow contractor came and cleared our driveway. All in all, decent response considering that as late as yesterday we were only expecting 1-2" up here.

From NWS Boston. Ready for more snow? I know Cam is. lol

[530 am] Ready for more snow? Some locations in MA, RI, CT will see a few heavy snow squalls this afternoon. The more intense snow squalls may result in a quick snow accumulation of 1 or 2 inches in a short period of time along with brief near white out conditions. Roads will briefly become snow covered resulting in slippery travel and poor visibility for a time. Keep in mind these snow squalls will be narrow and will not impact all communities. Thus some cities and towns will be spared while others are impacted. Here is what radar may look like this afternoon.

We are above normal for snowfall for the season, to date now. lol But after these "scattered" snow squalls in the strong NW flow, I don't see any more arctic air for 2 weeks. Mostly rain chances too. We have to wait past 2 weeks for any big snow threat. Lucky we were able to squeeze some out of this coastal to add to our totals.

On that note...............
