I agree though..its not accurate enough to use and really outside 15 days they shouldn't even bother.
Here's a good read. Pure sole profit motive putting that forecast up. Accuweather knows it's B.S.

Latest Euro. Kept in Celsius. I mostly just look at the 850mb column (temps at 5000'). That gives a sense of the air mass and pattern.

Below 0C = below freezing. So you can see we are below freezing aloft today and tomorrow and at the surface today and tomorrow its seasonable, chilly at night. Then we warm up a bit, then cool down, then bigger warmup.

Bottom line .......... No arctic blasts. No snowstorms still showing up. Couple rain chances. Wednesday and again around 23rd.

I was watching the 23-27th time frame but now models simply keep it seasonable or warm.

Latest Euro has 50s Jan 23rd.

I don't know how Maine does it having so many nights in the single digits and below zero through winter.. Upper Mid West too. I'm tired of these cold mornings now. 18° here. Don't need it.

Good thing is, it should be the coldest morning until end of month (~ 10 days)

Max in 40s all week starting today. Rain tomorrow-Wednesday

As I said, no Arctic air and no snowstorm threats still continuing next 10 days at least. Enjoy it guys. October snow curse lives on.

How bad will this storm be tonight?

Checked last night had ice warnings up for the State.

Worried will be like last New Year's storm where it was warm and raining during the day. Ground froze, then a mix of freezing rain, and snow. The roads were frozen with ice and at least a .5 of inch of frozen slushy ice. It was a mess.
