Why are you refraining from making a storm thread, Cambium?

You beat me to it. Who "possesed" you, LOL!

By the way, looking at that map you posted, the only reason all those adjacent zones have Winter Weather Advisories and not Winter Storm Watches is that is in reference to the icy conditions they had TODAY. We have to clear the WWA before they post the WSW LOL! The areas under WSW only had rain today so no prior warning to clear.

I think you finally stand a good chance of that snow day! The timing of it is perfect (turns to snow late at night and heavy snow right at the morning rush! Even if it ends late morning they won't do a delayed opening with that scenario.....and the fact that we've gotten to February with few if any snow days used (depending on the district) increases the chance they'll be willing to use one in a "borderline" situation).

If you believe Mark Twain (who said it about all of New England but was living in Hartford when he said it), more like 5 minutes LOL!

GF driving Friday night from Shelburne Falls, Ma to Milford, Ct. Think it will be clear roads by then, mostly? WWLP Springfield shows it done the 9th.

Roads should be fine Friday. But note the temps forecasted wont support rapid melting though.

NWS NY Upped the totals. Gees.

Maybe if I say I'm not starting a thread again we'll get 3 feet.

Hartford forecast. 60° to Heavy 7-11" of Snow to 11°.

Snow starts Wednesday after 2am. Ends Thursday afternoon. Looks like a 12hour storm but damn that's a lot of snow within 12hrs. Geesus.
