We could of easily gotten hit with all 3 if timing was right.

We could of gotten 1 foot with each storm at least! I remember 2010-11 we got hit with 2 blizzards & 2 snowstorms in 4 weeks. I got 65 inches of snow that fell in 4 weeks. .

These big winter storms usually happen each year and sometimes within a short period of time; but not every location can get hit with each one.

So when we do get them to happen within a short period of time its not often, so how many chances do we really get to get hit with each one? 2010-11 was lucky to hit us here to experience that. We were so close to that happening again this year!

Speaking of lucky or unlucky... Maine is getting hit with each one. 3 Huge snowstorms/blizzards within 2 weeks. Bangor has the chance to witness the most snow in February on record (90 yrs worth)

Check out the snowfall total last 72hrs alone!

Location. Location. Location. Timing Timing Timing. We were that close this year to getting 3 big snowstorms within 10 days. Happy?
This shows Danbury in the 3-4 inch range..we have closer to 6-8/

I actually disagree..the last week has been very wintry...snowscape..cool nights...very fulfilling. lets get a few more weeks of winter somewhere then bring on spring!

Note...we are ABOVE normal snowfall for the year so far. Remember folks..we DON'T live in Northern new England.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

You know that what does fall and stick doesn't stay that long in March.

I also wouldn't be a bit surprised that SE - SW NJ gets a mix at worse (as this region seems to have had a "March Winter") while everyone else to the north gets the full snow effect.

Uh... I am in East Hartford right now and there is not 12 inches of snow left. More like a couple inches closer to Hartford and at the most 6 toward Manchester. Jay

How close? You tell me... How many miles is it from the northern edge of the precip shield off the coast? We missed this storm by that much. 100 miles?

All that scattered snow/rain showers to our north is from the clipper which wasn't really moist and juicy.

Usually I would say location matters even in same town but that's a big difference your saying.

Here is the spot the report is located at. Were you near the circle? Were you looking in backyards as opposed to near roads or parking lots or down town? Thanks for mentioning. Ignore the 110. It's 11 inches they are reporting on the ground there.

Also.. it's impossible to go from over a foot of snow on the 9th and 12th to just couple inches in past 3 days. Hasn't been warm enough or rained.
