Still at least 6 inches of snow and ice where I live on the grass. The grass on the edge of driveway has slightly melted, but that's mostly done due to shoveling/car driving over that area.

6am temps this morning.

Northern Michigan is warmer than us this morning. Warmer than North Carolina in fact.

Its been a miserable month for sure. I'm tired of seeing snow on the ground every day past 10 days now and tired of using the heat inside without being able to open windows. I wanna walk around the yard on top of grass. I just want Spring to come. Not Summer. Enjoy time with family this weekend. Cool you're moving to NC in 5 yrs. I know a family that did and they are loving it down there.

7am. Still waiting. It's like there's a wall. Midwest gets colder before and longer than us....and apparently warmer before and longer as well.

Just going by memory here. Google it, let me know how close I came.

Is there a reason why you asked? Did it come up somewhere? Were u looking at a radar somewhere?
Yes I was looking at the radar at the NWS site last storm and was curious. THanks for the answer. I already tried googling it and all I could find was info about rainfall rates.

I'm starting to see grass....where I ran the snowblower....a play area for the pup, and a path to the stacks. With this warm up, I see a lot of mud in the future. I was thinking of the RV Show in Springfield today, but that would be torture. I'd say there is about 6 inches or so still on the ground.

A quick thaw will be nice for a break this week. Then I hope march comes in like a lion and we get absolutely pounded with snow! Multiple snow storms to finish us off! Then I hope April goes right to mid 60s. 50s is so annoying in April.

Per Joe Rao's Facebook page, via NOAA. First widespread "below normal" prediction in awhile (except for Alaska which has had some recently):
