Just heard a weatherguy say "we aren't going to see the inches on the roads, just on the grass, lots of melting going on"

Looks like that bust word may come out??

Snow here since before 6. Pavement is just wet. Grass is just covered now.

When does it end today?

Ends by mid afternoon, lunchtime for Litchfield.

Warren, CT sticking to backroads. Really needs heavier snow rates to stick on roads. Otherwise this is a cold surface sticking snow event.

Especially with salt on the roads. But event melted snow on roads can mean slush and slick so heads up

Gil Simmons just did a Facebook live, basically said not as bad as they thought it was going to be because of the late start. Roads will be fine.

Current radar. Notice the purples over Central PA. It's coming down very hard under there. Easy 1-2" will accumulate. I don't see anything over CT or heading over us yet. Might not happen.

I see 2-4" has accumulated across PA. Snowing at all stations in CT. Danbury and Bridgeport reporting moderate snow, Waterbury and White Plains light snow.

Thank goodness for paranoid/overly cautious schools! The commute this morning was great: no traffic and clear (just wet) roads.

I'm guessing you work in Greenwich?

Looks like all of FFC closed after all. a lot of northern Westchester districts did as well (where there are more back roads for snow to stick and it started earlier) but most southern Westchester ones opened as usual. I wonder if some of them will have early dismissals if it starts sticking to streets (which it clearly isn't right noe)
