.69 inches at Hartford/Brainard Airport to 4 AM. Let's see how much more drought ending rain they get today. Ha ha!

UPDATE: .75 inches to 5 AM. At least it's not as bad as eastern New Hampshire and western Maine this morning! YIKES!

Had Thunder and Lightning at 11:30pm last night. Sick of needing an umbrella and not being able to do outside work when I actually have the chance.

1:30-4:30am radar loop.
Orange lines = 500mb heights. Upper Low overhead now.
998mb surface storm over Southern New England beaches.

Stare at the precip over CT. Fasinating to watch as the system pulls away, the rain is starting to come from the northwest as opposed from the Southeast like it was few hours ago.

1.1" for this storm so far still raining this morning. Close to 6" for the month

Why can't we get a system like this in the winter... Would have been days and feet of snow with this thing spinning over us.

Only 10 days had no precip since April 20th here.

16"+ since March 1st. Almost 8" last 5 weeks. Nothing extreme, but it's just so annoying with the rainy days. (Trace is showing up as 0 here. Don't forget we had constant "mist" which sometimes doesnt accumulate.

My highest 7am-7am total was 2.09" on May 6th

Update:: BDL max yesterday was 58°. Currently 53 (but should go above 60 today). Coldest May since 2008 so far.

FYI... 7 days this month max temp stayed below 60° in Hartford. That's 9th most for month of May. Last year same.

Add about .13" for Hartford-Brainard Airport. Anyways...heading towards New Haven now. Seeing a bit of blue towards Madmere Mountain in Hamden.

Upper Low and Surface Storm now off the Maine coast. Wanna see the thing spinning?

Last 4 hours. 9am-1pm loop. Vermont getting some wrap around rains. Clouds look to linger. I'm hoping tomorrow is sunny!
