Another fair, impartial description of Connecticut. No one smokes crack in cities in fiscally conservative states, right? New Orleans, for example...

What have you done to help New Orleans? Don't just sit around on the internet deriding them. do something!

FWIW, just about every urban city is Dem, including New Orleans. Don't worry, I won't blame them for drug use.

Let's not try to make Columbus all unicorns and rainbows. In fact, it sounds that Columbus board has its own threads "I can't wait to GTFO"

The people who don't like Columbus might be the type who would enjoy NYC or Florida or whatever. Not everyone is going to like it, or any place for that matter. Different strokes for different folks. And no place is perfect or even near perfect.

Little wonder the OP received 2 offers in far fewer months then the period he looked at Ct jobs for, while getting zero offers in Ct.
I like Columbus too, although I think Columbus is a bit of a bubble, but that's for another time and place to discuss. My point is -- Columbus is not nirvana. No place is.

.
I doubt it is a bubble, but like several regions, it is outperforming the nation. That will be terrific for the OP.

2 offers in Columbus in a matter of weeks; 0 in Ct over several months. 3.8% unemp vs 6.3%. Positive GDP growth outpacing the nation, versus a state ranked last in underperforming New England.

Yeah, just awful. Tons of open space and an ultra-modern facility. Terrible

I suppose congested areas with outdated facilities must be your thing. To each their own, I suppose.

Sort of analogous to how three-quarters of a million dollars gets you <1,200 square feet (!!!) in FFC:
1 Lillian Ter, Darien, CT 06820 | Zillow

While one can purchase THIS in the Columbus metro and save about $10k (and have a 50% lower unemployment rate):
4863 Vista Ridge Dr, Dublin, OH 43017 is For Sale | Zillow
