Hi,

My family and I will be relocating from the UK to CT in the next few weeks. Initially we'll be in an apartment in Stamford, and expect to settle in the town of Fairfield after a couple of months.

Now, I'll have an established set of collegues for support but my wife will be starting out fresh. At least for a while she won't be working.

Does anyone know of any newcomer groups in either Stamford or Fairfield?

Thanks

Sylko

Sylko,

I came across this link (a welcome club that sponsors activities), but I have to admit I have not tried this myself:
Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton Connecticut (http://www.welcomeclub.org/index.php - broken link)

One way to make friends once in Fairfield is take some classes with the continuing education dept. Fairfield Public Schools® I took a class and I thought people were very friendly.

Your wife should check the YMCA, too.

Wish you the best luck!

Great suggestions Amber371 - The best way to meet people is to get out there and get involved in activities that interest you. Thanks.

Sylko - Welcome to Connecticut. Let us know if you have any other questions. Jay
