definitely agree on the casinos - lots to do there, as well as the new outlet mall at Foxwoods, and there are always some good shows happening.

If you're in the Mystic area, I'd also recommend going to Newport over in Rhode Island and tour the mansions - you can spend a long day in Newport, or even two full days.
I didn't mean in that order. They're just places of interest I wanted to point out. Since they'll be in the state a full week there'll be plenty of time to cover all corners.

I should have mentioned that our R.V. is only 19 ft-pretty much a van size we don't have to worry about small roads and such. If it got us through smaller roads through the Sierras, it will get us through smaller roads in Conn.

I was thinking more on the order of facilities, such as water and electric hookups and waste disposal access, and whether or not camping in an RV is allowed in one location or another.
