Bridgeport and Stratord are solidly below that median number, most of the towns are close to it, and the rich towns are in the millions for median selling price.

The old General Re building? Deloitte is in there now. But it was vacant for quite some time.

This reminded me of the Times fine column, and their Nashville growth surprised me..somewhat.

Texan2yankee,

Stamford has owed it's prosperity to one thing over the last 100+ years. Location, location, location......to NYC that is.

My great grand parents and relatives moved to Stamford to start business over 100 years ago because it's proximity to NYC. As long as Wall Street and NYC thrive so will Stamford. Stamford and Fairfield County has never been doing better as now with the rich getting richer in this country.
