I know they sell packaged lobster rolls inside Stewies, but these are cold lobster salad rolls. Are there warm buttered lobster rolls at the eatery outside the store?

I've only seen the cold lobster salad rolls at the Danbury Stews - I don't like that kind; and outside I've never seen hot buttered ones on the menu - only whole lobster dinners.

I was just in Rockland, Maine for the Lobster Festival and had lobster- and lobster rolls!- for days. To me, the best lobster roll is hot, no butter and served in a New England style hot dog bun. Having said that, I love lobster so much a "bad" lobster roll still beats most other meals!

Stowe's in West Haven is my personal favorite. In addition to their rolls being my favorite I like that they're a little smaller and $12 a pop so I can get one hot and one cold.

Glenwood in Hamden is the top sleeper pick for me. Lobster Shack in Branford is the most overrated IMO. Had it four times and have officially given up, can't figure out what the hype is all about.

Of course it does not beat the Maine Lobester rolls but they do have them fresh.
