Good Day.
My family and I are relocating to CT. Our employment will be in Wallingford, CT. We have 3 small children ages 6,5,3. Where would be a good child-friendly community near Wallingford? Also, what is the public/private school system like? Thank you so much for the information. It is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Look into Cheshire, North Haven, Southington, Durham, Middlefield...they're all surrounding towns within a 20 minute commute to Wallingford...Durham and Middlefield are more rural towns with small populations...Highways don't pass through those towns, but major state routes will take you to them. North Haven, Southington, Cheshire are more suburban with commercial areas for shopping/convienence..I-91 pass through North Haven, While Cheshire/Southington Have easy acces to I-91 via I-691 while I-84 passes through both those towns...

Housing prices in the other towns will be slightly higher than Wallingford. Durham/Middlefield share a school system (I think its Regional district 10?) due to their small populations, but good none the less. Cheshire, North Haven, and Southington have their own districts, and I beleive have earned the "blue ribbon Award" for their schools..I dont believe Wallingford's schools have earned those yet.
