Fairfield because I live there, but Litchfield for the fall foliage.

How could anyone dislike it?

My least favorite is probably New London County. Admittedly I haven't seen much of it, but what I have seen, it wasn't for me.
Not trying to start anything, but what did you see that you didn't like? I totally believe to each his own but I am curious.

While the coast is very beautiful, many of the towns seemed a bit economically depressed. New London needs help and Norwich seems to be on the edge - the type of city that could go in either direction. Aside from a few major employers (casinos, Electric Boat). One thing that turned me off to the Fort Trumbull area was the Kelo decision - and how that land today remains vacant. I guess my short answer is the area seems to be too far from jobs and, therefore, is economically depressed. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hope I didn't offend, but you asked.

I have lived in Hartford, Middlesex and Litchfield counties, and loved all of them. But I think quintessential New England, and least disturbed is Windham.
