I know we had a discussion on one of the threads about the new outlet center at Foxwoods but damn if I can find it. I had visited Foxwoods not long after the mall had opened and found its layout to be very strange. To get to the main mall you had to either come into it from an upper or lower level of the casino. You could not just walk into the main mall directly from a level of the casinos on either end of it. I found that very strange.

Now I am seeing what looks like a entrance to the mall in a photo in the attached article. I do not remember this entrance so I wonder if it is new and just was not completed yet when I was there. Has anyone been to the outlets there recently and seen this?

Still I did not like the main mall layout anyway. It is too narrow and the store doors open out right into the path of people walk by. Plus the mall is NOTHING special to look at. I know it is supposed to be an outlet center but it is nothing more than a wide hallway with cheap looking bland storefronts you would find in a cheap strip mall. Clinton Crossing is much more attractive and inviting IMHO. That said I am not a big shopper so my opinion means little. Still I wonder if other people feel the same way. Jay

I feel the same way. The picture they are showing is the entrance from MGM (towers) side. It's the lowest floor where Old Navy is. This is where I first came into the mall, never knew there is another door.

Still, nothing impressive about this outlet. In fact, I'd say Westfarms is nicer than this.

Seems to go along with the Foxwoods thematic: all over the place and not cohesive in style. It's bigger but not better. Foxwoods is a hot mess.

I came in from the Grand Pequot end so I did not see this side. Does this go directly from the casino into the mall. From what I saw, there is a short mall with maybe a couple of stores and then you have to go up to get into the main mall. Did not really try to go out that end since we were going to a show at the older side of the casino. Jay

There are very few stores. It's like Old Navy, Brooks Brothers and a pretzel store. You didn't miss much. This is right near the entrance to the concert hall in the (old) MGM. It's an odd entrance.

Does it go right into the main mall or do you have to go up or down to access the main corridor? Sorry for asking so many questions but I just cannot understand why they built this mall this way. The access is so bad. It makes little sense. I did not see any access to even the outside or a parking garage. As Wilton says it is a "hot mess". Jay

You have to go up to get to the main bland hallway that is the outlet mall.

I live near there - only been to Foxwoods twice since the outlets opened. Never had a problem finding it - it's not bad. I think there are about 80 stores there? I think I bought myself a couple of polo style shirts.

This sums up my feelings on Foxwoods in general. Mohegan is much more visually attractive Casino.
