Parking is also not that hard. I've never had a problem finding street parking. You just need to know where to look. Garages are a fraction of the cost of even Stamford.
Takes me 30 minutes from Woodbridge in the rush hour time just to get to center of New Haven. It is the scariest sight I have ever seen. It's people making 4 lanes put of 2, driving on sidewalks, blowing light's, turns, and so forth I am good. I am not parking on the street. Will say parking in the garages is cheap though.

When I lived in CT (central CT anyway), I liked it for CT. NOT because of NYC or Boston being 2 hours away.

NYC,BOSTON, make CT bearable.

Would you live in Vegas if there was no gambling? Would you live in Orlando if no theme parks? Would you live in New York if there were offices? Would you live in LA if no entertainment industry? Come on now, this is kind of a dumb question. Connecticut is what it is partly because of location, just like EVERY city. Without being near New York and Boston, Connecticut would likely be like Ohio. Jay

Ah, but Ohio has Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus. You're also in between Chicago and Pittsburgh as well. If Connecticut wasn't near NYC and Boston, it would mostly be like Central Pennsylvania where agriculture is still an important business.

But I will tell you what Ohio has that Connecticut does not...Professional sport franchises and a decent governor

Yes Ohio-- Nothing like a nice family meal at Tony Roma's or Olive Garden

In all seriousness, I'd think different strokes for different folks. I never want to live far from the coast again, and there is nothing in Ohio that could be close to the Ocean. I go to New York and Boston for business almost weekly-- Not possible in Ohio.

The "perfect" place is different for everyone.

Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus are not all that different than Hartford or New Haven, particularly if we were not overshadowed by New York or Boston. And if there were no professional teams nearby, it is likely that Hartford would have a few. New Haven too for that matter. This all of course is ridiculous conjecture since this is not for real. Jay

Coumbus is supposed to be a great city, not sure about the others... I'm all for those that are young, spreading their wings and exploring the world.. I know not everyone is in that situation and a lot of people settle down quickly after college or in their early 20s but if you have the chance to go live in a different environment.. DO IT.
