No, but I hate the 2 WMs I mentioned. I hope Manchester's are nicer.

Anything beats what a FEMA superfund site was. That isn't a compliment given how horrific Raybestos was.

The existing Manchester one is a dump so...... It's doubtful this will be better once a few years goes by.

I don't think that the Manchester store is a dump. I don't shop there much but when I have been to me it is typical of what most Walmarts are. Newington and Rocky Hill are kind of the same. Jay

It's not as bad since the expanded grocery section opened, but it is light years away from Target in terms of order and cleanliness. I used to go there when I needed something very quickly due to their self check-out section; but now Target down the street created one too.

I agree that Target is a much better store but I think that is generally true for the entire chain. They definitely cater to a different clientele and keep their stores in much better condition. They remind me of what Caldor originally was, a store somewhere between a discount store and a department store. Jay

I haven't been these since they expanded the grocery section. Would still rather shop at Target given a choice, and actually shopping online at Target has been heaven.

Manchester and Rocky Hill (Wethersfield?) were always equally bad to me, with the Berlin Turnpike being a hair better. The Manchester one went downhill QUICK after they opened.

Actually the WM in my Tn town was as cheerful looking and clean as the Target 3 miles away. It simply takes a good building layout and diligent management to maintain it.

Correct. While the clientele can make it harder to keep clean, it is up to the employees, management and the chain to make it happen. Apparently they don't care about that up here, in the 3 I've shopped at.

Nor in Milford or Stratford. The one near me in central NJ though is fairly well kept, not quite like the Tn one, but better than the 2 Ct ones I have been in.
