I thought CT and only a handful of other states participated. I didnt know just 6 didnt.

Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah are the only states that don't play Powerball

If I win I'm buying an NHL team and bringing them up to Hartford. Let's just say I have a greater chance of getting struck my lightning twice on the same day than winning. I would love to see a reaction video of the winner when they announce the numbers. I can't imagine winning...

There was a winner out of Greenwich a year or so back. They collected it through an anonymous trust and it never came out who won.

CT resident's think 5 won 2 million Saturday. Funny thing is heard CT taxes are high only 800 million, but that still is a huge chunk. Even $4 be nice ha.

They had a list of how much you'd win in each state, and NY was the state where you would win the least. Still, what's another $10 or $20 million when you're talking $1.5 billion?

Here is the list of what you'd win by state:

https://www.usamega.com/powerball-jackpot.asp

CT payout would be around $635 million lump sum after tax. 7 states and DC are worse - NY was worst at $615 million, Montana, Maryland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon, and South Carolina all would take home less than a CT winner.
