I have narrowed my job search down to 2 towns: Newington and Rocky Hill. Please advise on traveling times and level of traffic on various routes to those two towns from central Madison. Thanks!

You've already gotten your answer multiple times on your other thread. But it's OK, we can do it again.
It won't change your travel times.

A )To Rocky Hill- RT 79N to Rt 80E to Rt 81N to Rt 9N to Rt 91N , get off at West St in Rocky Hill.- About 40 minutes with no traffic. However, if you go at rush hour you will hit traffic lights on Rt 9 in Middletown. Add at least another ten minutes to your time. So may 50-55 minutes.

B ) Or you can go Rt 79N to Rt 68W to Rt 91N & get off at West St. in Rocky Hill. About 40 minutes, no traffic. But if you go at rush hour, you will hit some traffic on RT 79 as you go through Durham and get on RT 68. Add another maybe ten minutes. Total possibly 50 minutes.

To Newington

Same directions as A above going to Rocky Hill. Only stay on Rt 9 , do not get on 91. Get off Rt 9 at Cedar St. in Newington. About 50 minutes without traffic. Will hit same lights in Middletown . Add another 10 minutes or so. So an hour maybe.

Same directions as B above. Only get off Rt 91 where it crosses Rt 9. Follow Rt 9 to Cedar St. in Newington. 50 minutes no traffic. Will get same potential bottleneck in Durham add- several more minutes. So total close to an hour.

Willow gave you some good info, but there's an alternate route for Rocky Hill.

From Madison take I-95 to RT 9. Once you get thru the traffic lights in Middltown there's an exit for RT 99 north Cromwell/Rocky Hill. (This is Main St) This will bring you directly to Brook St and West St in Rocky Hill. The area of exit 23 West St Rocky Hill is becoming very busy with traffic and is only going to get worse.

that's a potentially really long ride - just 95 from Madison to Route 9 is 20 minutes, then you have at least 30 minutes to get to Rocky Hill (via 9 to 91) or 40 minutes to get to Newington (up route 9)

That's not including time to get from Central Madison to 95 and also once they get off the exit in either Rocky Hill or Newington.

The OP may not be going all the way over to Cedar Street in Newington which is on the far west side of town. They could be going to the Berlin Turnpike which means they need to get off Route 9 a lot sooner in Berlin. Less time too. Jay
