Wow, that clip of Trump from 1988 was amazing. He is consistent but changed "China" for "Japan" when he talked about trade.

What in the world happened to the soft spoken Trump who appears to not be crazy? I probably would have voted for the 1988 Trump.

Jobs were plenty and the economic epidemic was unheard of back then in the 80's and late 90's.

The news channels were also more reserved. Sure there were some cases here and there but nowadays? Different era.

The "crazy" is the genius in him. Thats all a show and was a way to grab attention. The rest fell into place. If you get to know him without media interfering you would see he is respectful, calm, yet firm... and funny which I didnt see until recent speeches. most people cant see through that "crazy". Probably the same people who voted for Obama.

The ice rink story is probably my favorite and not because I like hockey and not because he hired Montreal Canadians for the ice .
Back to who he is. You can see it with his family. Very well manored, humble, and intelligent kids who apparently never did drugs and never smoked. Cant say that about many presidents we had.

CNN interviewed them all. Some nice clips on that.

Only one I can find right now..

My office is near the convention center. I had the privilege of walking through the crowd around 4:30. I saw a couple dudes rocking swastikas (no joke). Trump really brings all of the racists and bigots out of the woodwork, huh? I have never in my life until this point actually seen a real life human wearing a swastika (sans stage productions).

Isn't Meriden, CT where the 'headquarters' of the KKK used to be or still is? It isn't that far from Hartford.
