where are you in Connecticut? There are many places along the shoreline where you can rent one for 3-4 hours for a day.

Better to find a used one on Craigslist or sports Store or kayak store. Only know 2 one in Oakville and other in Collinsville. Think there is a place near New Haven called Action Sports that sells Kayaks as well.

If you are in FFLD County, I like Down Under in Westport. The Norwalk Beach will rent them out to you, as well. You can rent SUPs, etc at both places, too.

The Lieutenant River and around Milford in general are great Kayaking places. I unfortunately do not know if there's anywhere to rent anywhere nearby.
