I live in CT , however, work in NH, MA, and spend an office day in CT each week.
Where would I file for unemployment and which State benefits would I receive?
If my employer pays my UI in NH, I would receive less weekly benefits, however, I only work half my time in NH.
Do I have recourse to get CT unemployment benefits or MA benefits which are significantly greater than NH?

when i lived in Danbury and worked in White Plains, it was the NY DOL i had to make my claim through. don't know how 2 outside states work. are you saying you have one employer that has offices in both NH and MA? usually the employer pays UE insurance to a single state - their home state so i doubt you can collect from CT.

You file for unemployment in the state in which you live. While you may work in more than one state, your employer is only paying UI tax in one state. Ultimately, that state will be the state where your benefits will come from. You do not have a choice in which state to file in AFAIK.

Of the three states listed the potential benefits from higher to lowest are, MA, CT, NH

I think MA benefits are #1 in the country and CT is #3 or #4

IF you have more questions you can go to the work and employment/unemployment section here on city data. Lots of knowledgeable people over there.
