There are MANY. You need to give us more information like the type of town you like (urban, suburban or rural), your budget and what you expect for that budget. I know you just asked a question about commuting from Guilford to South Windsor so I am wondering if you should be asking for suggestions between these locations. Westport has one of the best school districts in the state-- or even the country. It's within 50 miles of New Haven.

50 miles is going to encompass a good part of the state - from Greenwich in the West all the way to East Lyme to the East, and up to Avon and West Hartford to the north.

You've suggested a radius that includes 85% of the State of Connecticut by area and 97% of its population. Others implied that already but I wanted to throw some numbers at you for emphasis.
