I will be spending the summer in Stamford and I am seeking furnished accomodation. I will prefer something close to Stamford (does not have to be Stamford). I will be spending abt 10 - 11 weeks there and I will be commuting by train/bus. I dont want my commute to be more than 15 minutes from Stamford and will love to live close to the train station/bus line since I will not have a car through out my stay. I have never lived in the NE so the train/bus thing is going to be a new experience. What is the best way to go about this? I am also working under budget!

Check craigslist.com for rental shares. The listings for Stamford are under the New York City page under Fairfield County. You also might want to check the local newspaper, the Stamford Advocate for listings. Good luck and welcome to Connecticut. Jay

Default What abt the commute?

Thank you Jay. How far is Norwalk from Stamford? I have been to Craiglist and I noticed there are so many towns that are listed with Stamford (Norwalk, Milford, Bridgeport et al). If I want a 15-20 minute commute to Stamford, which of these towns should I focus on?

You are certainly the 'go-to guy ' on Conn. I hope you know how it helps. I am just breaking into Conn and it is nice to have a source like you.

Thanks, it is nice to know that all of this once useless knowledge I had in my head is actually useful.

I too have learned a lot since joining this forum. Skytrekker just floors me with his posts. He knows so much. There are a lot of great people here and I thank them all. Jay
