Hey there, we are planning to move from Paris to CT/Fairfield county from Paris. My husband will be working in Danbury. We are looking to buy a house (townhouse, etc. we don't need land as we are used to small spaces... ). Which town/area can you suggest?
We have a baby boy and I won't work, we are therefore looking for a young neighbourhood with lots of activities, nice restaurants, etc. Oh, by the way, our budget is around 600K.
Any suggestions? Merci!!!!

Try Fairfield, CT. It's a bit of a commute (maybe like 30 min) but it's a great town with basically everything you need. If Fairfield is too far, you can consider Newtown. The nice thing about Fairfield is you will have the beach and a lot of activities for kids. With 600k Fairfield should be affordable.

OP was started in 2006. I think we're a bit late. Surprised no responses back then, though.

Uh, this thread was started 8 years ago. The OP is long gone. The only reason I even noticed it was that another Moderator deleted a post made by one of our regular real estate agent posters who would never think to advertise his services on this forum. Jay

OMG I didn't even notice that. I replied because someone else did before me so the thread just poped up in the forum as recent.

This happens all the time. I have responded to more than my fair share of really old posts so don't worry about it. Jay

Did you do a search for Paris or something?

I always wonder why and how these old threads come up. Maybe we should start locking them after a year or so.

Agreed but some certain threads exist that people do spend years discussing such as the one about tolls coming back to CT, etc. But with these kinds of threads I agree.
