I have used internet phones by both Vonage and Comcast and find them to be adequate (some disconnects and missed rings, but overall worth the price of about $20 per month with free long distance). Comcast internet phone has been more reliabe than Vonage, and I'm on a special now paying $108 for cable, phone, and high speed internet for the year (can't beat that with a stick).
Good luck

Comcast's phone svc is pretty good, I've had it for a while now.. Free long distance to Canada, US + PR, caller ID, 3 way calling etc.. When you call go into Comcast's starter bundle which is what klehnus has. Basic and expanded tv, 6 meg internet and phone svc. I obviously work for Comcast but honestly it is a good deal.

I've used Verizon, Comcast & Optimum for phone service during the past 2.5 years & can honestly tell you there isn't much to differentiate between them, both in terms of service & prices. Please keep in mind that the introductory package offered by each provider (such as Optimum's $29.95 per service when bundling all three servives) is valid for a year only, after which you will invariably see a significant in increase. Mine was about 35% overall, after a lot of negotiation.

Also, your location could determine which providers service the area. At best, you would have 2 or maybe 3 choices.
