This is sad news but I do wonder why Bronin and the others waited until less than 2 weeks before to come out and say they won't fund it. This seems pretty stupid since you know the organizers won't be able to get outside funds for having it in that short of time. Between this and his handling of the baseball park, it really makes me question Bronin's leadership ability. A good leader would have made this announcement months ago when I am sure he knew it was coming. That would have gave the organizers time to find funding sources and pulled people together. Very stupid move on his part IMHO. Jay

Didn't the budget cuts cut state funding to these events. I can't recall remember last year the budget said it wyld stop funding events like the Litchfield Jazz Festival. I wonder if that had any play in it.
