Hi everyone,
We are a family of 4 and our girls are 9 and 7. We are moving from Atlanta to Fairfield County. My husband is from Bethel and I will be opening a physical therapy office soon. We like Wilton, Weston, & Ridgefield for the perceived value and great schools, but I am hoping to open my office in Darien or New Canaan. Could any one give us an opinion on which would be the most receptive to a physical therapy/pilates business? We would be so grateful.
Our budget is approx 700,000$ and we are hoping for a 4 bedroom 3 bath approx 2500- 3000 sq feet. I would like to be no more than 30 minutes from the new office as well.
Any ideas? Thank you very much!

What you said should work just fine. Home in W, W, and Ridgefield. Office in Darien, NC due to more people around with big pockets.

I imagine there'd be a huge demand for physical therapy/pilates, with sports being so big in the schools there. Not to mention that rich SAHM and to-bes love their pilates/yoga.

I agree with the others that you could likely make a new PT practice work but from what I hear it does take years to establish a practice so you will need some patience in getting established. Finding an appropriate space for your practice may be challenging though. There is not necessarily a lot of space in Darien or New Canaan that could accommodate your practice and the space there is will be pricey. You might want to consider joining an existing practice first to get your foot in the door.

The towns you selected are all wonderful but each has a slightly different character. Which one is best for you and your family is your decision but I will note that Wilton would be slightly more convenient to Darien and New Canaan. You would not even have to get on a highway to get to work there which is good since the highways in the area have a lot of traffic every day. Good luck with the move. Jay

Something I didn't mention earlier. The pilates market is getting a bit oversaturated in the area.
