I think the fact that he's in Connecticut -- unless it's fundraising -- shows that his campaign doesn't know what they're doing. The election will be decided by swing states-- Pennsylvania, Ohio, etc. The way he's polling he should be focusing his efforts elsewhere.

Regardless, it's cool to get attention from Presidential candidates-- even if it is him. I don't support him, but, I'm can't afford Hillary's $33,000 per plate dinner in Greenwich either.

Perhaps the bright side is that if he says something stupid of offensive (50-50 chance) Fairfield will be on TV a lot.

They just said on the news he wanted it at Harbor Yard arena, but the $60K price tag was too much.... So he's going to Sacred Heart. I thought he was self funding from his 9billion personal fortune???

Cam,

A tank happened. You should know this. Yeehaw.

Back to topic, it's odd that Trump keeps on coming back to BPT. The man did nothing for the city, used us in his personal feud against the Indians and Wynn, owed the city heaps of money, and tried to kill any sort of entertainment for the south end personally. Say what you will about Weicker, but he had an incredibly stern and accurate description about Trump from 20 years ago.

You seemed in a tizzy over the potential turnout in Fairfield, CT being 50% white men. So what? You seem fixated on dividing people into grievance categories..

I love the support of Clinton now after spewing bile her way when he was on the Bernie train. Keep the ad hominem attacks coming at Trump supporters. We aren't the uneducated or unsuccessful bunch portrayed. i still laugh at the constant racist/bigot comments- trump married two immigrants, dated a black woman and has Jewish grand kids. Just to pile on, while bill and Hillary were promoting and signing the defense of marriage act in the 1990s, trump hotels were run by an openly gay male and trump is on the record recommending the civil rights act be modified to accommodate gay and transgender people. The sheep will believe anything the media tells them.

Default Donald Trump Speech in Fairfield, CT August 13, 2016

For those of you that missed it or interested in it.

Does anyone know how many attended? It was held in a gym I guess.

Trump quote "I'm making a big play for Connecticut. Normally the party wouldn't make a play," Trump told the crowd in a sweltering Fairfield gym. "I love Connecticut. I have lived in Connecticut. I have so many friends in Connecticut."

I have deleted all of the off topic posts and am reopening the thread. Remember that the topic of this thread is Trump's rally in Fairfield and NOT the presidential elections or the candidates. JayCT, Moderator

Apparently the auditorium can comfortably hold 4,800, and there were several hundred to a thousand people who were forced to remain outside due to the overwhelming attendance.

So, basically a little over half the attendance as when the UConn women played in Bridgeport.
